XLPE insulation foam for the roof is made of chemically cross-linked polyethylene foam, laminated with aluminum foil, this structure ensures the stability of the mechanical properties and thermal insulation features, so is it ideal to be used as a vapor barrier and heat reflection.
There are two methods on the roof according to different types of XLPE insulation foam, here is a simple explanation:
Roof Tile Liner
XLPE foam laminated with aluminum foil is suitable for roof tile liners by offering an excellent vapor barrier and a high capacity of heat reflection. Due to this layer of aluminum foil, it can avoid the sediments, mold, and parasites on the roof, so that the people living in the house have a more comfortable condition.
Loft Insulation Liner
Normally, XLPE foam is a kind of chemically crosslinked polyethylene foam when applying on the roof insulation, which doesn't rot but keeps excellent mechanical and sound insulation properties for a long time. Because of its features and properties, the XLPE foam ensures great heat insulation for loft roof.
