Huzhou CYG Tefa's flooring Underlayment foam t is a basic underlayment manufactured by using a closed-cell polyethylene microcellular foam.

There are two kinds of foam is able to apply in flooring underlayment.


● XPE FOAM underlayment

The XPE (Chemically Cross-linked Polyethylene) foam is polymer material with great thermal insulation, sound absorption, and vapor resistance properties.

IXPE underlayment-2

The structure of this flooring underlay XPE:

 XPE foam laminated with aluminum foil in the single side or both sides.

The aluminum foil plays the role of reflecting radiation heat from sunshine with reflectivity of 96-97%. And the foam has the function of trapping air so as to stop convection heat. Most importantly, in response to customer's flame retardant requirement, our XPE foam can be made fireproof so that this product will not easily catch fire and will not encourage fire when fire hazard happens.


● IXPE foam underlayment

The IXPE (Irradiated Cross-linked Polyethylene) foam is a polymer material has good properties of thermal insulation, sound absorption, vapor resistance, etc.

Compared with XPE foam, IXPE foam has a more delicate cellular, more smooth and flat surface, more excellent mechanical performance.

         CYG can customize length and width as request.

         CYG Floor underlay is normally laminated on the floor to make installation faster, so we provide large rolls (max 500 m/roll) for customers’ production directly.

         Normal package: pe bag in a roll with a 3-inch inner paper coil.

CLASSIFICATION STANDARD

STC Classification: ASTM E90-04, 54dB,


Sound Transmission Class (STC): ASTM E90-09, Standard Test Method for LaboratoryMeasurement of Airborne Sound Transmission Loss of Building Partitions and Elements. Test results were then classified in accordance with ASTM E413-10, Classification for Rating Sound Insulation.

IIC Classification: ASTM E492-04, 51dB.


ASTM E492-09, Standard Test Method for Laboratory Measurement of Impact Sound Transmission Through Floor-Ceiling Assemblies Using the Tapping Machine. Test results were then classified in accordance with ASTM E989-06 (Reapproved 2012),

Standard Classification for Determination of Impact Insulation Class (IIC).
